Teresa Cardwell

Graduating from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1987, she has been in practice over 20 years. She holds a Masters degree in Biophysics and Genetics from the University of Colorado Medical Center.  She is also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. She studied Acupuncture through the University of Miami School of Medicine. She also studied with many advanced  forms of Kinesiology.

A few short years ago, she was invited to be part of a group that was attempting to re-open Naturopathy in Florida. This was the first time since 1943 there was an actual Florida State accredited Naturopathic graduating class.  While the political climate has not been receptive to licensure, patients are very receptive of the benefits of these natural time tested techniques for the betterment of patients’ health.

Dr. Cardwell practices a gentle safe form of Chiropractic, known as diversified technique, and employs the use of an AthroStim adjusting instrument and VibraCussor. The AthroStim produces a succession of rapidly repeating, high velocity-low amplitude thrusts. The power of the thrusts is precisely controlled so that very small to large amounts forces are available. This rapidity supersaturates the target area with specific adjustive energy/forces. The energy continues to ripple through the joint to surrounding tissues. This releases secondary trigger points and sites of muscular spasm, providing the patient with release. Patients typically notice a positive difference within the first treatment..

As part of routine work up, Dr. Cardwell employs traditional and exciting state of the art laboratory testing. Specializing in natural nutritional therapies, Dr. Cardwell works with the patient to bring the body back into hormonal balance. Most patients are able to do this without the need for hormone replacement. This includes issues of infertility, menopause, Andropause, the prostate, and even most cancers.

The FDA approved Erchonia C0ld Laser, that produces a coherent light beam of 635 nanometers. In the book “Energy Medicine, The Scientific Basis”, Dr. Oschman discusses research supporting that such serve as signals to integrate processes as growth, injury repair, defense and even the functioning of the organism as a whole. Low Level Laser Therapy promotes healing in many conditions, including chronic and acute pain, wound healing and other joint and neurological conditions.

Along with the Laser, Dr. Cardwell has added a Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy to her line of advance sports medicine modalities in her quest to be the most advanced sports medicine practitioner in South Florida. The indication range for shock wave therapy has been growing. Shock waves are discovered to possess a therapeutic effect in a number of specific sports injuries such as tennis elbow, long bone pseudarthrosis calcified shoulder, trigger points, and in general, close bone tissue pain.

Another Modality utilized by Dr. Cardwell is a Digital Pulse Analyser. This also employs laser technology, sensing the shape of the wave form in a blood vessel in a patient’s finger, one can predict the flexibility or the lack of it in one’s circulatory system. Specific nutritional and chelation are suggested to the patient with a schedule for follow up re-testing.

The ST-8 Light Beam Generator utilizing scalar technology opens up the lymphatics for detoxification.

Biocleanse Detoxification Bath pulls various pollutants out of the body via the feet, and at the same time has a balancing effect on the Acupuncture meridians which is observable on Electro Dermal Screening.
